About Us.
Dr. Alaiti is an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist. He received his clinical training in Cardiovascular Medicine, and extensive additional three years of advanced clinical training in Cardiac CT and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Interventional Cardiology, and Advanced Interventional Cardiology fellowships in mechanical circulatory support, high risk coronary interventions, peripheral interventions, and structural and valvular interventions at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University, under nationally and internationally renowned interventional cardiologists including: Dr. Hiram Bezerra, Dr. Guilherme Attizzani, Dr. Mehdi Shishebhor, Dr. Marco Costa, Dr. Sanjay Rajagopalan, and Dr. Daniel Simon. Prior to that, he completed research fellowship at the Case Cardiovascular Research Institute, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio, studying cellular and molecular mechanisms of angiogenesis, arteriogenesis, and cardiac hypertrophy in the laboratory of the renowned physician-scientist Dr. Mukesh Jain, MD. He was clinical instructor at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. He was previously Assistant Professor at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas VA Medical Center. He is the founder of the Heart Institute of Texas in Dallas, TX.
His clinical interests include evaluating for coronary artery disease using non-invasive testing including cardiac CT and FFRct; precision coronary interventions using high-resolution intravascular imaging (Optical Coherence Tomography); trans-catheter and minimally invasive procedures for treatment of coronary, vascular and heart valve diseases; left atrial appendage occlusion interventions; complex coronary interventions, chronic total occlusion PCI; and short-term mechanical circulatory support. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, archery and horse-back riding.
